DOC Cycling, Inc. is a registered §501(c)(3) public charity. But the idea of DOC Cycling started as a fun play on words upon a tongue-in-cheek joke. That morphed into some fun cycling kits and logos by local cyclist and graphic artist David Butler that are the basis of our aesthetic today.
The nonprofit organization was born of a combination of founding director Jimm and son Patric's years of charitable cycling event participation and fundraising efforts with the desire to create a leadership and service project, respectively. The additional board members, Mike, Pete, and Butch bring along decades of combined amateur sports coaching, fundraising, event promotion and management, legal career, and volunteering experience.

What is DOC CYCLING?
DOC Cycling, Inc. is an Ohio incorporated nonprofit registered as a charity and is recognized as a 501(c)(3) public charity by the IRS.
The name DOC Cycling was created as a fun play on words upon a tongue-in-cheek joke. That morphed into some fun cycling kits and logos, the basis of our aesthetic today. All of our founding directors have spent years supporting and being heavily involved in amateur sports competition, cycling advocacy measures, and enthusiastic participation in many charitable cycling events. With a joint excitement for event creation and that call to 'make a difference,' we formed this nonprofit to have direct and more personal involved hands in the things that matter to and motivate us.
Are contributions to DOC Cycling, Inc. tax deductible?
As a registered 501(c)(3) publicly supported charity, donations Donations to DOC Cycling, Inc. are treated as tax deductible in accordance with tax law. DOC Cycling, Inc. is tax exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3). DOC Cycling, Inc. is a registered Ohio nonprofit corporation.
Where do charitable donations go?
DOC Cycling primarily aims to support charitable causes and other public charities through the raising of funds through donors and support of events and fundraisers we organize. Charitable contributions will go to those causes and charities that further our mission as a nonprofit.
What charitable causes does DOC Cycling support?
DOC Cycling's mission is to further youth and amateur sports competition, support cycling advocacy and education, and combat juvenile delinquency and community deterioration through events, donations, and support of organization with similar purposes. We review organizations activities and information to assure good stewardship of funds and carrying on meaningful and impactful programs. How are donations received?
Donations may be received by cash, check, or through PayPal. PayPal has special low transaction fees for public charities, and also give donors the option of contributing an additional amount to cover those transaction fees. Find the PayPal donation link from our Donate | About Us page.
What fundraising activities are you planning?
As with all publicly supported charities, we need contributions from the public. DOC Cycling, its directors, and friends on our behalf will ask for support throughout the year, and we will of course accept donations anytime! We also are in the planning stages for three cycling events next year along with a scavenger fundraising competition. Reference our website here, as well as instagram, for information going forward
Is DOC Cycling, LLC related?
Really only in name similarity and sharing of intellectual property, such as our logos. DOC Cycling, Inc. only carries on events, fundraisers, social media, etc., that bring attention to and further our charitable causes. DOC Cycling, LLC only carries on a limited amount of for-profit activities, such as bicycle repair and sales. The Inc. and LLC are completely separate.
